The best was drawing all the little spot illustrations for Mission Mission, which are based on signage scattered around the eponymous San Francisco neighborhood. This one didn’t get used, and I kind of forgot it existed, but I found it just now and I thought you should see it.

Submission for a book cover, used in the distributor’s catalog but not on the actual book. Map is hand drawn and basically fantastical.

Unselected book cover. Hand drawn ship, hand drawn letters. Well, really the letters are salvaged from a different project, but that’s a different story.

Title card lettering for a friend’s movie. It was fundamentally inappropriate and he wound up doing it himself. It is for the best. Still, this is nice lettering. I got the chance to reuse it later on another rejected (but, paradoxically, well-received) project.
